There is in total 35 businesses in the region behind BRUS. These businesses have a vast corporate social responsibility. They want to contribute to the development of their own region by both creating new jobs and workplaces, as well as cooperating with the local politics.

The shareholders in BRUS traded about 11 billion Norwegian kroner in 2015 in addition to employing about 2.700 people in the region and contributed around 300 million Norwegian kroner in company taxes for the community. Combined the companies paid about 2.2 billion Norwegian kroner in wages, which in turn contributes to the society at large.
